Kids Shopping day planned at Thrift Store
By Angela Eves/LCH

The Presho Thrift Store & More will hold a Kids Night at the store Wed., Dec. 12 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm to allow children the opportunity to shop for family members.
Youth fifth grade and under are invited to bring a shopping list of the people they want to shop for and Thrift Store volunteers will assist them in finding appropriate gifts to fill their shopping list and will assist the children in wrapping their gifts. Each child will receive a $10 gift certificate to use towards purchasing their gifts.
We want to give them the opportunity to experience the joy of shopping for family members but also to learn that sometimes it’s necessary to budget your money,” said Comp.
Comp stated that parents or guardians may drop their children off at the store to shop and pick them up after they complete their purchases and the gifts are wrapped.
The store has a large supply of Christmas related items for sale including decorations, cards, and other supplies.
There are lots of nice, new things we have held back throughout the year to give the kids a good selection of gifts to shop through,” stated Comp. “It’s so fun to see the kids and their excitement.”
Donations of gently used items including clothes, toys, household items, decorations and furniture are always appreciated.
Volunteers are needed to help the children shop and wrap gifts, contact the store at 895-MORE.
The Thrift Store will be open Dec. 20, 21 and 22. Christmas décor will be half price on those days and Quarter Day will be held the following weekend on Sat., Dec. 29.
To remind Lyman County residents the local food pantry located at the Thrift Store & More is available to those in need twice a month. Even with food well stocked donations are always welcome.
